The new car park will have a 65,000 m2 floor area over five floors and accommodate approximately 2,300 cars, just like the previous parking garage that suffered the extensive fire in January 2020. But unlike the previous car park, the new one is divided into two fire sections and fully covered by sprinklers, making this one of Norway’s most fireproof parking garages.

The old parking garage is currently being demolished and Veidekke starts building work in January. Planned completion is May 2023, with opening in June 2023.
