The new commercial building at Kay Fiskers Plads near Ørestad Metro Station in the Copenhagen Airport vicinity, will hold 50 000 square meters of offices and a 15 000 square meters parking garage. The project has been developed in close interaction between the contracting client, contractor, architects and consultants, and the project's vision is to set the standard for the future office environment for small and medium sized enterprises in Ørestad City.
"The Ørestad project is a textbook example of how Veidekke can best deliver value through strong involvement in the planning process from the get-go. Through cooperation from an early stage, we can utilise our entire breadth of expertise and deliver a building that provides the greatest value for the client and users," said Arne Giske, CEO of Veidekke.
"With the Ørestad project, KLP Eiendom takes a radical new approach to meeting the needs of the small and medium-sized companies that drive growth in Copenhagen. Through close collaboration with architect and contractor from the very beginning, we have developed a concept that is flexible and innovative and provides high environmental, technical, economic and social quality. We look forward to breaking ground for the building on 20 August, with the Norwegian ambassador and the mayor of Copenhagen present," said Gunnar Gjørtz, Managing Director of KLP Eiendom AS.
KLP Ejendomme is the Danish subsidiary of KLP Eiendom AS, one of Norway's largest property companies.
The contract is included in Veidekke's order backlog for the second quarter of 2018.
