To build cinema complex in Uppsala

Veidekke's subsidiary Arcona has been commissioned by Uppsala Akademiförvaltning to build new premises for Filmstaden in central Uppsala, Sweden. The project is a collaborative design and build contract to a value of approx. SEK 330 million. Work on the project will start in June 2021 and is scheduled for completion in February 2024.

In collaboration with the client Uppsala Akademiförvaltning, Arcona will build a completely new entertainment complex for Filmstaden on Dragarbrunnsgatan in central Uppsala. A total area of approx. 7,700 square meters will house a 13-screen cinema multiplex as well as business premises and restaurants. The project also includes renovation of the underlying two-level garage.
