This building stage of Frydenbø Eiendom’s industry cluster at Damsgård consists of a four-storey parking facility and two office blocks of three and four storeys respectively. The blocks will be linked at the ground level, and will have a common entrance and outdoor area. The project also includes the demolition of two older buildings and the establishment of a seawater intake for its own heating plant.
“Damsgård is an interesting development area in Bergen that is characterised by a transformation from industry to offices and residential, and it is very pleasing to be a part of Frydenbø Eiendom’s strategy for business here. We are grateful for the confidence shown in us and the excellent collaboration on developing the project into an exciting, modern and future-oriented BREEAM certified environmental building,” says district manager Erlend Bygnes of Veidekke Bygg Bergen.
Damsgårdssundet has always been characterised by future-oriented business activities. Frydenbø has more than a 100 years of tradition here, and is taking its industrial heritage into the future in an attractive and maritime environment with both new builds, renovations and modernisations of existing buildings.
Construction work starts in September, with completion scheduled for November 2021.
