To build health park on Stord

Today, Veidekke has signed a contract with Borggata Futurum AS to build a commercial building that will gather a number of health services in the centre of Leirvik on Stord in Vestland county. The contract is a design and build contract valued at around NOK 100 million excluding VAT.

Stord helsepark

Stord Helsepark will comprise almost 6,000 m2 across six storeys in addition to a parking facility for cars and bicycles in two subterranean floors. The health centre will bring together a wide range of businesses such as general practitioners, specialist services, a dental clinic, physiotherapist, chiropractor, naprapath, health-related retailers, a café and a fitness centre. For those working in the building, there will be a common canteen, as well as meeting and course premises.

The existing building at Borggata 5-9 will be completely refurbished and two new storeys will be added. The project has been developed in close cooperation with the developer, Veidekke and MAD Arkitekter. Construction work will start in the beginning of March and the health park is scheduled to open in the spring of 2021.
