To remodel school in Stockholm

Skolor i Stockholm AS (SISAB) has signed a contract with Veidekke to remodel and extend Lindeparkens gymnasium in Enskede in south Stockholm. The assignment is a collaborative contract with a target price of NOK 140 million excluding VAT.

Lindeparkens gymnasium is to be remodelled as a new elementary school for 600 children. The project has started, and completion is slated for October 2016.

"The choice of contractor was Veidekke and subsidiary Arcona because they satisfied our requirements toward what should be included in a collaborative contract, with important elements such as a common target and extensive knowledge on work with BIM models," says project manager Annika Norlund with SISAB.

"Veidekke and Arcona are very proud of the confidence shown in us by SISAB to build a new elementary school, which is perhaps the most important thing we can build for our community. Our cooperation is based on an involving work process with common targets for safety, the environment and quality, where the vision is value adding interaction with all stakeholders. This results in reduced costs, better quality and functionality for the client, in addition to improved efficiency and safety for all players in the project," says Anders Arfvén, who heads Veidekkes building operations in Sweden.
