In addition to the construction of the new pedestrian and cycle path, the project includes remediation of county road 152 with several intersections and side roads, as well as upgrading municipal water and sewer lines in the area. The project will contribute a good interconnection to other pedestrian and cycle paths and with local roads at Greverud center and Oppegård station.
"We are very pleased to be chosen to carry out this assignment. Improving traffic conditions on the county road is important to many, and not least improving safety for pedestrians and cyclists in an area with a high volume of school and kindergarten traffic. This is a large and important commission for the many road users and for us, and we are grateful to Viken county municipality for the confidence they have shown in us,” says general manager Magnar Kristiansen with Leif Grimsrud AS.
Construction work starts immediately after the turn of the year and the construction time is scheduled for 24 months. The commission is included in Veidekke’s order book for the fourth quarter.
